Battenburg Lace was developed in the late 1800s and named after Queen Victoria’s son-in-law, The lace gained popularity due to a distinctive method of combining machine-woven tapes with hand stitching.
We design this beautiful cushion cover with tape shapes resembling leaves. Intricate stitches are handmade to hold the tapes together using mesh, netting or webs. In the centre of each cushion cover, a hand appliqué Cosmos flower in blue or pink gives the winter white a light touch of colour.
It is All in the Details, the Cosmos is delicately framed in the shape of the flower amidst a “garden” of lace on a mesh ground.
This cushion cover is ideal for a Blue-And-White or Pink-And-White decor theme.
