Appliqué Napkins Vintage Heritage Rose & Trapunto Rosebuds

Appliqué by hand is a specialized needlework technique in which patterns are created by the attachment of smaller pieces of fabric to a larger piece. Trapunto technique, in Italian means “to embroider,” and in Latin it means “to prick with a needle”, otherwise known as “stuffed applique” adds a 3-dimensional appeal to the buds. Napkins are sold in sets of 4.

The hand blanket stitching is so fine and evenly done that only expert artisans were selected. Note that napkins are beautifully finished with 6 trapunto rosebuds.

White Rose with Green foliage, the colour of purity and innocence. White roses usually symbolize new beginnings, and is especially popular for brides.
