Appliqué Oval Tablecloth Heritage Roses & Trapunto Rosebuds

Appliqué by hand is a specialized needlework technique in which patterns are created by the attachment of smaller pieces of fabric to a larger piece. Trapunto technique, in Italian means “to embroider,” and in Latin it means “to prick with a needle”, otherwise known as “stuffed applique” adds a 3-dimensional appeal to the buds. The blanket stitching is so fine and evenly done that only expert artisans were selected. Note that even napkins are beautifully finished with 6 trapunto buds.
