The Sailboat pattern has been around for 80 years and it is still a classic for boys. Its simple design of geometric shapes is ideal for a playful combination of specially selected fabrics. We create 2 different versions.
Red, White and Blue.
It is All in the Details, the direction of the sails, the selection of choice fabrics, dark, medium and light, all contribute to break the monotony of traditional “sailboat” baby quilts. The sense of humour is subtle yet discernible.
A close-up of the “white” fabric to illustrate the care and deliberation in choosing our fabric. It is “ivory white” with texture. And hand stitched contour quilting adds finishing touch. Quilt reverses to checked Blue fabric.
