Cluny Lace is a type of Straight Bobbin Lace with geometric patterns. This Butterfly runner is a beautiful design includes various features unique to hand made lace with many names: “Bobbin Lace”, “Pillow Lace”, “Genoese Lace”, etc. Distinctive features are: Rosettes of slender leaves & bodies of butterflies, Wings of cloth stitch, Triangles of half stitch, Curves of whole stitch, Edge of braided loops.

Amazing handmade Cluny Lace in vintage Ecru colour. Corner work is evidence of superb craftsmanship. The braid follows the curves and lines of the pattern, and the various turns and curves are connected by means of sewings.

3 sizes runner lengths to choose from. Dual usage as window treatment. Or perhaps as a delicate evening scarf?
